There's no better way to share a unique moment around your plancha with your guests or family than to wow them with new recipes! As tasty as they are surprising, here are nine recipes for meat, fish and desserts à la plancha that we'd love to hear more about...

Recipes for marinated meats à la plancha

One of the most famous marinated meats is the 'Crying Tiger'. This traditional Thai dish, made from marinated and then grilled beef, leaves a lasting impression on all those who have tried it. Prepared with a heaping tablespoon of oyster sauce, three tablespoons of fish sauce, lime, chilli, chives, coriander and sugar, this marinade recipe for 500 grams of meat takes you straight back to the kitchens of Bangkok. Cooked on a gas plancha, you'll retain all the flavour of your marinade.

If you prefer the sweet and savoury flavours of French cuisine, you're sure to love a duck breast marinated in honey and allspice, then cooked a la plancha. What's more, the recipe couldn't be simpler: to marinate two duck breasts, mix one teaspoon of allspice, three tablespoons of honey, salt and pepper and you're done.

Finally, the ultimate recipe to impress your guests: chich taouk. For four people, marinate 600 grams of chicken in a dose of saffron, a teaspoon of thyme, chilli, cumin, garlic, cinnamon, sumac and two tablespoons of olive oil, for an incomparable flavour. The chicken pieces are then skewered and grilled for a tender centre and crispy exterior. This recipe can be prepared a la plancha or on the barbecue.

Dessert recipes à la plancha

After cooking your meat and fish and before cooking your dessert, make sure you clean your plancha thoroughly. Because, to finish your dinner on a high note, why not use it to cook your dessert?

There are many recipes that can be cooked this way, such as apricot kebabs with rosemary. Marinate open apricots in a mixture of honey, rum and rosemary for 30 minutes before searing them on a griddle. Leave them just long enough to caramelise, then serve on skewers.

In the same way, for four people, you can fry eight apples in 15 grams of butter and a teaspoon of cinnamon. When the apples have melted, serve them in ramekins and add a few pieces of speculoos cheese to taste on top, like a crumble.

And if you want to try a new twist on a classic, you're sure to be a hit with French toast with exotic fruits a la plancha! Keep your favourite French toast recipe and then, instead of pan-frying your slices of bread, brown them on your plancha. Serve with freshly cut exotic fruit.

Whatever your favourite recipe, we're sure you'll enjoy a convivial evening of surprising flavours as we gather around our barbecue and plancha tables!
